The Alliance Française of Toulouse Situated in the heart of Toulouse, a stone's throw from the main shops and museums, our school (700m² newly renovated and air-conditioned) offers a new and inovating conception of learning French. The Alliance Française of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées belongs to an international network of Alliances Fraçaises with 1040 schools in 136 countries. All over the world, more than 460 000 students enrol in our courses. France has 29 Alliances with 13 of them dedicated to teaching French.
Established in 1984, the Alliance Fraçaise of Toulouse employs today 21 people. Our Host Family Accommodation Service manages around 400 families with an excellent standard of accommodations and different options. The whole structure is ruled by a Board of Directors and a President. The Alliance Française of Toulouse in a non-profit making association (Association loi 1901) and a Higher Education Centre.  Situated Place du Capitole, the Alliance Fraçaise is a 700m² air-conditioned school with 13 classrooms, a computer room with 14 computers dedicated to educational activities, a library with 2 computers and wireless internet access, a staff room, a kitchen, a dining room, a communal aera and offices. Our instructors, all native French speakers ans qualified teachers, are all specialized in French as a Foreign Language and have a strong experience in their field.
The Alliance Française of Toulouse is also co-editor of learning CD Roms ("Dites-moi ! 1 &2") and editor of educational ressources. We also provide teacher training courses designed for French teachers which include specific training on how to use Information and Comunication Technologies (ICT) within the classroom.

Our centre welcomes every year more than 1000 students from more than 80 countries. In 2007, the majority of our students were from : Spain, China, Germany, Japan, UK, Mexico, USA, Brasil and Colombia...
Students pay a registration fee, a class fee, course books with CD. Most of our cultural activities organized every month are free. All our students have access to our Host Family Service if needed.
Every new student who is not a complete beginner is assessed as they join. A 60 minute test will establish their level so that they are assigned to the right level. Our syllabus is divided into 9 levels within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Each level is 65 hours of tuition in a group class. Classes are organized every month on different class types : intensive (with 120/160 students every month), afternoon and specialist courses (around 30 students), evening courses (around 90 students). These numbers might fluctuate from one month to another. Furthermore, the Alliance Française of Toulouse is a registered examination centre (DELF, DAEFLE). The Alliance Française of Toulouse has dealings with local and international companies (Airbus, Brtish Aerospace, Repsol, EDF-GDF, ...) organizing in-house or company courses or specific courses (Critical Software, London Deutsch Hipo). The Alliance Française of Toulouse is in charge of trainings linked to European or International programmes (Délégation Générale de l'Armement, Institut Aéronautique et Spatial, Institut Européen de la Santé) and e-learning programmes for groups of students from institutional organizations. Every year, the Alliance Française of Toulouse welcomes groups from the Philippines, China and Japan or from Alliances Françaises and universities worldwide, according to agreements signed with these schools.
